Hyundai Motor is really interested in reinforcing its Santa Fe range in the car market of Indonesia. Soon after announcing the imminent launch of the Santa Fe 2.4 liter gasoline variant, the South Korean auto leader has gone ahead and confirmed the fact that the company has all intensions to debut the 2013 Santa Fe CRDi 4×4 at the 2013 Indonesia Motor Show.
According to Hyundai, the Santa Fe CRDi all four wheel drive models will occupy the top-end trim model of the Santa Fe range in the Indonesian car market. The Hyundai Santa Fe crossover is at present available in two model trims which consist of a 2.4 liter MPI gasoline 4×2 and a 2.2 liter CRDi diesel 4×2 model.
Under the hood, the Santa Fe CRDi 4×4 is powered by a 2.2 liter CRDi VGT engine along with common rail diesel injection. This powerful and capable engine is coupled with a six speed automatic transmission that is equipped with electronic sequential manual mode. This 2.2 diesel motor is capable of churning out a maximum power output of 197 Horsepower at 3,800 rpm and a peak torque of 436 Nm at 1,800-2,500 rpm.
The Hyundai Santa Fe CRDi 4×4 models also get to have the additional advantage from its advanced flex steer system, which provides three varying driving modes to the driver to offer a superior driving experience according to the owner’s convenience. The three driving modes are namely normal mode, comfort mode and the sport mode.
Hyundai has also endowed the Santa Fe CRDi 4×4 models with an extensive range of world-class safety features, including the Brake Assist System as well as the Vehicle Stability Management. The Santa Fe CRDi 4×4 is also fitted with uphill road assist control as well as downhill brake control system.
The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe CRDi 4×4 is supposed to hit the Indonesian car market with a starting tag of about Rp 634 million for the base variants, which is equivalent to about $63,400.
Hyundai also has major product portfolio expansion plans, as the South Korean car maker is all set to introduce a slew of new cars for the global car markets. Hyundai is also about to launch the next generation global i10 which is going to be called by different names in various car markets of the world. For instance, it is expected to be called the Brilliant in the Indian as well as the US car markets, while in Indonesia it might be called as the new i15. In the Indian car market this all new Hyundai i10 will be positioned between the present i10 and i20 models.
