Hyundai is a world renowned car brand, eminent for its amazing line up of luxurious and stylish cars. The demand for posh sedans in India has increased more than ever before. This segment is dominated by reputed auto firms such as Volkswagen, Toyota, Chevrolet and Hyundai.

2012 Hyundai Elantra Coupe

The Elantra sports creative and classy exteriors, the elongated stretched back head lights and neat side graphics enhances its exotic appeal. With just a glance customers will be taken aback by the car’s magnificent demeanor. The Elantra is one of the reasons for the cut-throat competition that exists in the posh sedan segment. One of its arch rivals is the Chevrolet Cruze.

The Elantra is released with diesel and petrol engine choices. The engine capacity of the petrol car is a 1.8 liter engine with advanced VTVT technology. This potent engine churns 177Nm torque and 148 bhp. The diesel fuelled car is inserted with a powerful 1.6 liter mill with CRDi technology that yields 259Nm torque and 126bhp power. The displacement capacity with diesel mill is phenomenal at 1582cc. To cater to wider customer options, the car is rolled out with automatic and manual transmission options.

The Chevrolet Cruze is equipped with a potent 2 liter engine with VCDi technology that releases efficient engine outputs of 380Nm torque and 164 bhp power. Customers can enjoy driving the car with six speed automatic and manual transmission options. The Elantra has a slight edge over the Cruze because it is offered with diesel and petrol engines. The engine outputs delivered by Cruze are higher than Elantra.

New Chevrolet Cruze 2013

Both cars sport a marvelous style statement, Hyundai has incorporated its cutting-edge Fluidic design philosophy with the Elantra. The Cruze spots a more sophisticated and masculine stance and has a wider bonnet design, and bigger length dimension. Those who have observed the Elantra and Cruze would find it tough to debate on the more attractive model, both models exhibit stunning beauty that matches the desires of the modern demographic.

On considering the interiors, Elantra has more to offer with its royal double shade dashboard. One interesting interior feature to note is the sparkling blue light emitted from the instrument panel. With the Cruze it is a mundane black shade.

The Elantra is priced at Rs 12.8 to 16.6 lakhs, the Cruze is rolled out in 3 versions, the most loaded variant LTZ AT costs Rs 16.15 lakhs, the base LT and LTZ version is priced at Rs 13.7 and 15.25 lakhs.

Elantra and Cruze are on equal par in terms of price, and for the brilliant design language exhibited in both models; both can be termed value for money cars. Elantra would satisfy the needs of diesel car buyers, Cruze is ideal for those who desire frequent long car rides. Customers will be blown away with the interiors of Elantra and is a wonderful milestone birthday gift. The blue illumination displayed by instrument panel is shockingly impressive and is something surreal and can be compared to visionary scenes found in popular Hollywood movies.

Those who are keen to purchase the Elantra can enjoy luxury at its very best, and many dreams have now become reality.
