It was in the recent news that the second generation of Hyundai i10 2014, which made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor show last month. The production has off lately started in Turkey. The dazzling new venture of i10 is being manufactured at the Hyundai Assan Otomotive Sanayi, its production unit in Izmit. It is being said that it could be the same production unit which will produce cars for the European markets also.
The new i10 is anticipated to release to hit the European markets in a few months while the same platform based car from Hyundai, the Grand i10 has been already released in the Indian market last month. Speaking about the production of the hatchback in the Turkey facility, the Vice Chairman of the Hyundai Motors, Mr. Euisun Chung stated that the HAOS is the only manufacturing unit of the new i10 series for the European car market. The company will continue to invest more in the unit to design top class hatchbacks for the users.
Specs expected in the i10 2014
It can be said that whilst the new Indian spec Hyundai i10 has been released with the Grand mark and is positioned above the last generation of the i10, the soon to be released 2014 i10 will soon replace the last generation i10 in the European market. The Hyundai i10 is bigger than the present model and is expected to come with expanded dimensions. It will be bigger by 80mm; broader by 65mm and lowers in height by 50mm.
The company has also worked on the wheelbase of the car and expanded it by 5mm. Another thing being revealed by the hatchback analyst is that the Indian i10 will be bigger than the European i10 version. Hyundai claims that it will help to give the hatchback better driving specs along with a better cabin area, luggage space and best-in-class interior.
For the European market, the 2014 i10 will be compacted with 1.0l 3-cylinder petrol mill along with 1.2l Kappa2 petrol mills with 4 cylinders, while the details of the diesel version of the same has not been revealed yet. On the other hand, the Indian i10 2014 aka Grand i10 is available with a 1.1l petrol burner while the diesel version sports 1.1L CRDi Motor engine. Based on the engine choice, the engine can be paralleled with either a five speed or a four speed automatic transition.
Mr. Allan Rushforth, Senior Vice President and COO of Hyundai Motors in Europe stated that every feature of the hatchback is crafted and ferociously designed to meet the rising demands and requisitions of the European customers. The coming release of the i10 completely embodies the true value of Hyundai, combining higher standard of specs and functionality than most of the purchasers could expect in this segment of vehicles.
Hyundai i10 2014 is one of the most expected releases of the Hyundai car series. The company is expected to increase its market share with this release. It will surely attract budgeted buyers and render the best for the users. Though nothing has been revealed regarding the price of the hatchback however, the company will surely release the updates in the coming times.
